MIRIAM DE LACY

This is in fact the headstone for John Gibbs husband of Edith Ellen Gibbs. It also commemorates their son Eustace de Lacy Gibbs (Sonnie) and his daughter Constance(Connie) and his mother-in-law Miriam de Lacy. Edith died in South Africa in 1961 aged 96.

Further research shows that this is originally the grave of R.Q.M.S. John Gibbs 9th Q. R. Lancers (1857-1901), Miriam De Lacy(1832-1902)his mother in law and Constance De Lacy Gibbs (1892-1904) his daughter and it also commerates his son Eustace De Lacy Gibbs (1888-1914)
